Underground facilities and subsurface utilities are almost always needed for construction. Excavation to lay these utilities is not an easy job and has a lot of risks. The existence of hydro excavation has considerably lessened these risks and it can now be used for several excavation applications.
Hydro excavation is recognized as being safer than hand digging within the tolerance zone around underground facilities.
When you are planning any kind of design or excavation work you will need to make sure that all site personnel are easily able to identify the locations of any underground utilities on your site. The best way to do this is to have a comprehensive utility survey completed.
Directional drilling is much more cost effective compared to digging up existing infrastructure such as car parks, roads or parkland and is far less invasive than other types of excavational equipment.
Hydro Excavation (NDD)
Hydro excavation is used for multiple applications such as line, sign and pole installation and location of utilities. It is also used for potholing or trenching in busy U/G service areas.
This method reduces risks for any damages to or punctures in the pipes/utilities. This eliminates the additional time and cost that repairs require.
Utility Locating
We can trace utility lines and metallic pipes, and clear excavation and drilling locations. We emit a frequency onto nearby pipes and cables. The receiver detects these radio frequencies, and the operator is able to accurately locate and trace the pipes and cables to get your project moving, This works in collaboration with our hydro excavation.
Directional Drilling (Horizontal Boring)
Directional drilling is used for drilling non-vertical bores. It is a great method for installing conduits under obstacles such as roads, buildings and wetlands. Utilities such as water, sewer, communications , electrical and gas can be installed under very busy intersections without the disruption of traffic or ripping up existing infrastructure.
